Neal Cavalier-Smith BA Hons, MBA
Neal Cavalier-Smith is Managing Director of the Healthy Marketing Team a co-project of Design Bridge, a world-renowned international branding and design agency, and leading consumer-data organisation Health Focus Europe.Whetting his appetite for entrepreneurialism and innovation at age 16, when his computer games and ‘how-to’ books went on sale throughout the UK. He then spent a year as a systems analyst at the Engineering Industry Training Board and authored various further IT books technical manuals including "Let your Electorn Teach You To Program" and "A Beginners Guide to Lisp"
Neal Graduated from Sunderland with a BA(hons) in Data Processing after co-authoring a paper on the subject of ‘Teaching Software For Hearing Impaired Children’ with his lecturer, Dr Chris Bloor.
Neal worked under the ‘Graduate into Enterprise’ scheme at Durham University Business School to set up a successful niche publishing company and retail company in the late 1980’s.
Having spent a decade continuing to run his company, whilst being very politically active in the Human Rights arena Neal Cavalier-Smith then took a Masters in Business Administration (Management) at City University. For his final MBA project he established a large retail store in London’s West End that subsequently grew into a chain, with a yearly turnover in the £millions.
Selling his stock in his own company, Neal Cavalier-Smith then began work as a freelance strategy and branding consultant for companies such as Challenge, Skybridge, Vacher-Dod and Design Bridge NL.
